Deborah Grossblat, DVM
Dr. Grossblat was born in Maryland, but grew up in Phoenix. She attended undergraduate school at Northern Arizona University majoring in Zoology and minoring in Chemistry. She then attended graduate school at Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate. Dr. Grossblat is a member of both the American and Arizona Veterinary Medical Associations. She is also a member of the Wildlife Disease Association and American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians. Dr. Grossblat comes to Val Vista Animal Hospital with a wide array of unique experiences researching wildlife. She has been involved with studies on bats, raptors, bighorn sheep and bison.
Dr. Grossblat loves being outdoors including hiking and camping. She also enjoys cooking and traveling. When she finds time, she takes part in adult league soccer and kickball. At this time, Dr. Grossblat’s pet family consists of 3 rescued cats. They are Calvin, Hobbes, and Schnapps.
